Focus timer · Attitude problem

The pomodoro timer that yells at you.

Stand your phone up and start a focus session. The camera watches you, right on the device. Look away, wander off or doze, and DuckHead stops the clock and knocks on the glass until you get back to work.

Basic training

Three steps. Zero excuses.

1

Stand your phone up

Prop it on your desk like a clock, landscape, front camera facing you. The screen stays awake for the whole session.

2

He watches. Closely.

On-device face tracking checks where your head points, whether your eyes are open and whether you're still in the chair. Looking down at your notes is allowed.

3

Slack off, get knocked

Drift for too long and the timer freezes. DuckHead lunges at the screen, cracks the glass and lets you have it, out loud.

No camera here, so this one only knows when you leave the page. Start the clock, then switch to another tab. See what happens. Sound on.

The rap sheet

Things that get you busted.

Every offence waits out a grace period before it counts, so a quick glance or a sip of coffee won't set him off. Keep it up, though, and it goes on your record.

He watches. He never records.

  • Focus tracking runs entirely on your phone. No video or photos are saved, and nothing from the camera leaves the device.
  • Talk detection only measures loudness. Your audio is never stored, and the duck's own voice is ignored.
  • Your settings and session history stay on your phone.
  • No camera? It still works as a plain, very judgmental timer.

ProDuckTivity lands on iPhone and Android soon. Leave your email and DuckHead will personally tell you when it's out. Once. He's busy.

Questions, recruit?

Does it record me?

No. Each camera frame is checked on the phone and thrown away. Nothing is saved or uploaded.

What if I'm reading notes on my desk?

Looking down gets a much bigger allowance than looking up or away. Every check also needs to hold for a grace period before it counts, so short glances are fine.

Can I make him quieter?

Yes. With Pro you can pick Soft Boiled for gentler lines, or change the sound mode to mute his voice and sound effects. He'll still glare.

Is there a free trial?

There's no trial, but the free plan gives you one 25-minute session every day, for as long as you like.

Which phones does it support?

iPhone (iOS 15.5 and later) and Android 7.0 and later. Both are coming soon.
